ORTHORIEDL
PAIN-FREE TOGETHER
Elbow stiffness, i.e. a limited range of motion of the elbow joint, often occurs when the painful elbow is given too much rest after injury or inflammation instead of being kept in motion through targeted physiotherapy. Elbow stiffness also often occurs when scar healing is disturbed after surgery and too much scar tissue is produced. Rehabilitation usually focuses on physiotherapy measures to improve the range of motion and restore normal elbow function. If conservative therapy is unsuccessful, arthroscopic surgery can help in some cases, in which excess scar tissue is removed if necessary. I am happy to provide detailed information about the appropriate surgical method in a detailed consultation in my medical practice.
I would be happy to discuss the diagnosis and treatment options with you in a personal consultation.
