ORTHORIEDL
PAIN-FREE TOGETHER
The heel spur (plantar fasciitis) is an inflammation of the attachment area of the plantar tendon plate, which causes pain in the heel area. It is often caused by misalignment of the foot or intensive strain on the sole of the foot (standing/walking occupation). Stubborn cases can be treated very well with shock wave therapy. In addition, rest, physiotherapeutic stretching exercises for the plantar fascia and calf muscles and the use of cushioning orthotic insoles are recommended. In chronic courses, anti-inflammatory corticosteroid infiltrations or autologous conditioned plasma therapy (ACP/PRP) may be necessary.
I would be happy to discuss the diagnosis and treatment options with you in a personal consultation.
