Hallux valgus

A hallux valgus (bunion) is a wear of the first metatarsophalangeal joint in which the big toe bends outwards. For mild pain, shoes with a wide toe area, orthotic insoles and physiotherapy exercises help to relieve the first metatarsophalangeal joint and counteract deterioration. In advanced cases with severe pain, surgical correction can be considered to straighten the toe. Frequently accompanying toe deformities such as hammer or claw toes can also be corrected in the same operation. I will be happy to provide detailed information about this surgical method in a detailed consultation in my medical practice.
