ORTHORIEDL
PAIN-FREE TOGETHER
Hip osteoarthritis (coxarthrosis) is a degenerative joint disease in which the cartilage in the hip joint becomes thinner and thinner. The resulting pressure on the bones leads to pain, which initially only occurs during exercise and then also at rest, as well as a limited range of motion and even stiffness.
With incipient hip osteoarthritis and mild pain, joint-preserving measures such as anti-inflammatory painkillers, physiotherapy, corticosteroid injections, hyaluronic acid and autologous conditioned plasma therapy (ACP/PRP) can help. In advanced stages, an artificial hip joint replacement (hip arthroplasty) can be considered to relieve the pain and restore full function of the joint.
I would be happy to discuss the diagnosis and treatment options with you in a personal consultation.
