Bursitis

Bursitis is an inflammatory disease of the bursae in the shoulder region, often caused by overloading, constriction and irritation. It can cause pain and swelling in the shoulder. If conservative measures such as physiotherapy, anti-inflammatory corticosteroid injections, autologous conditioned plasma therapy (ACP/PRP) or oral anti-inflammatory medication fail to relieve the pain, arthroscopic surgery, which involves the removal of the bursa, may help.
