ORTHORIEDL
PAIN-FREE TOGETHER
Like every joint, the shoulder joint is surrounded by a capsule. This capsule can shrink and restrict the range of motion to the point where it becomes frozen (frozen shoulder). The reason for this can be that a patient takes too much care of the shoulder after an injury or surgery due to pain, instead of keeping it in motion through targeted physiotherapy. Scientific studies have also observed a link between diabetes and frozen shoulder.
Treatment of frozen shoulder includes intensive physiotherapy and anti-inflammatory corticosteroid injections to restore the normal range of motion of the shoulder. If a satisfactory result is still not achieved, shoulder arthroscopy is necessary to widen the excessively tight capsule. I will be happy to provide you with detailed information about the appropriate surgical method in a detailed consultation in my medical practice.
I would be happy to discuss the diagnosis and treatment options with you in a personal consultation.
