ORTHORIEDL
PAIN-FREE TOGETHER
Thoracic spine pain can be felt as a dull, stabbing or pulling sensation and often occurs between the scapulas or in the upper back. These complaints can be due to muscle tension, incorrect posture, gender-specific anatomical conditions, overloading or degenerative changes. They can be caused by daily activities such as prolonged sitting, poor posture or heavy lifting.
Chest spine pain must be clearly differentiated from other non-orthopaedic causes due to its proximity to the ribs and internal organs. The treatment of thoracic spine pain usually involves rest, the use of physical therapy such as laser therapy, heat or cold, pain medication, physiotherapy to strengthen the back muscles or, in some cases, pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing corticosteroid injections.
I would be happy to discuss the diagnosis and treatment options with you in a personal consultation.
