Distal biceps tendon rupture

In the case of distal biceps tendon rupture, this tendon is torn out in the elbow area, usually as a result of an accident. This leads to symptoms such as swelling, extensive hematoma, pain and restricted movement. Conservative measures are rarely effective in this case. In a surgical procedure, the torn tendon can be grasped through a skin incision that is kept as small as possible and fixed back to its original surface on the radius near the elbow using an anchor and appropriate suture material. After this surgery, short-term immobilization with a splint and physiotherapy is necessary. I will be happy to provide detailed information about the surgical method in a detailed consultation in my medical practice.
